Welcome
Knowing oneself, feeling loved by another and creating a meaningful life - is this too much to ask ?
I believe that we are offered countless opportunities to redefine our past, design our future and authentically participate in our life. Often times, these opportunities demand our attention and bring emotional pain or distress.
Life transitions, significant losses and repeating unsatisfying or harmful relationship patterns are a few of the common human challenges that most of us are likely to face. However, when we feel emotionally restrained by our past or overly anxious about making decisions about the future, these opportunities can feel like colossal challenges.
Emotional pain can present with many faces, but perhaps plays just a few roles:
1. to let us know what we need
2. to invite us to define what we want and
3. to support our efforts to create and live a rich and meaningful life
If you are in crisis or are feeling suicidal please seek immediate attention by calling 911, 1-800-SUICIDE or the Multnomah County Crisis Line at 503-988-4888 or 1800-716-9769.
